Incoming Erasmus+ Students

Our Department actively participates in the European Erasmus Programme through all the activities it provides: European Student and Teacher Mobility Programme, Teaching and Administrative Staff Training Programme, International Student and Teacher Mobility Programme, Europus E + Exercise Programme - Erasmus Internship Programme. Οur Department exhibits intense mobility almost from the beginning of its operation, which has been constantly developing in recent years, increasing collaborations and exchanges with multiple Universities both in Europe and in the wider International environment.

In the context of the European Student and Teacher Mobility Programme for Teaching, it is worth noting the ever-increasing interest of teachers for mobility to European countries by entering new programmes. Also, a large number of students study the Curricula of similar University Schools, broadening their horizons and increasing the mobility and visibility of our university. Thirty-six (36) bilateral agreements with fifteen (15) European countries are currently in force.

Outgoing students amount to approximately 26 persons per academic year, whereas the fact that a large increase in incoming students has occurred – currently 20 persons per year – is also of importance.

Regarding the Teacher Training and Administrative staff programmes, the interest and the number of participants in European Universities are constantly maintained, with an increasing tendency. This is a proof of our University becoming more extrovert attracting staff that is enriched with European culture and a wealth of skills and knowledge.

In the context of the International Mobility of Teachers and Students, our Department has also shown great zeal by concluding agreements with countries of North America (the USA and Canada, South America (Chile) China and Russia, enabling members of our Department to move to these countries to enter multiple agreements and to enrich our Department with experiences from other cultural and educational areas. Our Department has also welcomed several students and professors from these countries with strong mobility, mainly from countries such as China and Russia.

Internship abroad. Students implement this internship in the 5th semester (5 ECTS). A sufficient number of students (approximately 10 per year) gain professional experience in foreign institutions / organizations.

Finally, the cooperation with the action Strategies of the Erasmus + programme enables our Department, as of the current academic year, to cooperate with five other European countries on the issue of cultural diversity with the purpose to implement an educational programme on the subject.
